Eagles defense boss Jim Schwartz minced no words today when asked about linebacker Nigel Bradham, who has been charged with a felony for an assault in July in Miami and was stopped last week trying to board a plane with a gun.
“The most disappointing thing for me,” Schwartz said, “is that it takes away from the Nigel that we see every day. He’s a good teammate. A hard-worker. A trustworthy player on the field.
“Hey, facts are facts. If you do dumbass things, pretty soon you’re going to be labeled a dumbass. He has a lot of ground to make up because it’s not just him. It’s the rest of us also. It’s everybody who wears that helmet. He represents everyone in this organization. He represents not just himself, but everybody and he has some ground to make up that way. He has to earn some trust back.”
