In the’s never too soon to scope out the next draft.

And The Athletic has put a cherry on top of the Eagles undefeated season:

6. Eagles via New Orleans (3-6)
Projected odds of securing No. 1 overall: 2.1 percent
Projected pick: No. 6

Week 9 (Saints): Lost to Baltimore, 27-13

After a shutout win over Las Vegas, the Saints took a step back on Monday night.

Of course, this is starting to look more and more like a dream scenario for the Eagles, the actual owners of this pick.

Philadelphia is off to an 8-0 start, appears to have its franchise QB already in place (Jalen Hurts) and could wind up with a top-10 draft choice.

Do they need a QB for 2023?:

No. Sorta just spoiled this one, but Hurts has gone from a preseason question mark to a midseason MVP frontrunner.

He’s accounted for 18 touchdowns (12 passing, six rushing) to just three turnovers and ranks second in QB rating (107.8) through nine weeks.
