So, Miesha Tate will have to wait!

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (above) won’t be fighting Tate for a third time, after all. At least not yet.

Rousey (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) today told “Good Morning America” on Friday that rather than Tate (17-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC), she’s slated to fight former pro boxer Holly Holm (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) at UFC 195 on Jan. 2.

“She’s definitely my biggest challenge to date, so I’m super excited about it,” Rousey said.

UFC officials subsequently confirmed the event takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Currently, Rousey vs. Holm is the only fight announced for the card. A reason wasn’t given for Tate no longer getting the fight.
