RIB INJURY: EAGLES’ WR GREEN-BECKHAM IFFY FOR REDSKINS

By David F. Cohen

Eagles wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham left yesterday’s game at Cincinnati to undergo X-rays on his ribs.

Trailing 10-0 after one quarter, 19-0 at halftime, and 29-0 with 4:07 remaining in the third, head coach Doug Pederson ordered up pass after pass from Carson Wentz, who racked up 60 attempts in all.

Green-Beckham was on the receiving end of 10 of them, yet he only corralled four for 29 yards.

This marks back-to-back games with double-digit targets, and 28 over the last three, exhibiting his increased presence in the offense with Jordan Matthews (ankle) ailing and Nelson Agholor (inactive in Week 12, five targets Sunday) taking a back seat.

Before one can dream about a breakout, though, Green-Beckham’s health will be of interest as the week continues.
