RESTRICTIONS EASED: SIXERS PLAYOFF CROWDS AT 50% CAPACITY!

By Mark Gallagher

With vaccines increasing and COVID-19 case counts way down, Philadelphia is easing COVID-19 restrictions.

The city today announced a two-phase approach to reopening.

Some restrictions on businesses and gatherings ease on May 21.

Then on June 11, all capacity limits will be lifted. Masking requirements will remain in place.

The decision by Philly Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley comes just one week after Gov. Tom Wolf announced Pennsylvania will end all statewide Covid-19 business restrictions on May 31.

Wolf’s move also keeps the state’s mask mandate in place until 70% of Pennsylvania adults are fully vaccinated.
