THE REMARKABLE RISE OF EAGLES’ CORNERBACK PATRICK ROBINSON!

As told by Geoff Mosher of Fan Rag:

When the Eagles traded for starting corner Ronald Darby and moved Robinson inside to slot cornerback, where he competed with incumbent slot corner Ron Brooks, what seemed like a demotion that would ultimately push Robinson off the 53-man roster instead turned into an opportunity for the 2010 first-round pick to resurrect his career — and ultimately help the Eagles navigate a treacherous first four games to come out 3-1.

“I think it helped a lot,” Robinson said of his move to the slot. “I think my mind is more sharp. I see things a lot quicker than if I was to go outside.”

Those who wondered this summer if the Eagles would be better off without Robinson now have to consider where the Eagles would be without him.

Per Pro Football Focus, Robinson is playing better so far this season than in any season of his eight-year career, which started with the Saints and continued with the Chargers and Colts:
