RED-HOT SIXERS COME HOME AS NO. 3 IN NBA POWER RANKINGS!

By Tommy Matthews

The Sixers are on a roll, having swept a five-game West Coast trip with the Kevin Durant-less Nets next up at home tomorrow night.

The Athletic’s Zach Harper has noticed:

3. Sixers (previously sixth) | 30-16 | +4.1 net rating

Weekly slate: Win at Clippers, Win at Blazers, Win at Kings

Anybody deserving of All-Star Game?

Joel Embiid and James Harden.

Embiid is a lock. Maybe he doesn’t get in as a starter over Tatum, but he will easily punch his ticket to the game. The Sixers are more than good enough to have two All-Stars, and Harden is the other guy here.

Harden has missed a bunch of games (16), but his numbers and his play pass the All-Star sniff test.

Anybody deserving of the Saturday night festivities?

Is Georges Niang a good enough shooter or a sexy enough name to be in the 3-point shootout?

Probably not on both counts.

I’d love to see Tyrese Maxey in the skills challenge, but the real dream is to have De’Anthony Melton guarding everybody during the skills challenge. He’d love that challenge.
