RANGER’S NO-DECISION: 6 INNINGS, 1 RUN, ERA DOWN TO 1.75, WATCH!

By Peter Marks

Ranger Suárez gave up one run over six innings in a no-decision against the Padres.

Suárez limited San Diego’s strong lineup to just a second-inning solo shot by rookie Jackson Merrill over six innings.

He struck out four and walked no one.

The 28-year-old southpawm is on the verge of his first All-Star game selection as he’s allowed three earned runs or fewer in all but one of his 15 starts so far.

He’ll carry a sparkling 1.75 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 95/19 K/BB ratio across 92 1/3 innings (15 starts) into a favorable road tilt on Tuesday against the Tigers.
