PRESSURE, MY ASS! SIXERS HARDEN BAGS 22, 14, 5 AND A STEAL

By Jerry Wein

All last week the national media blowhards were pushing the narrative that Sixers future Hall of Famer James Harden was under a mountain of pressure going into this series against the Raptors.

They pointed to his past playoff performances, the “fact” that he isn’t up to it in the clutch and his up-and-down shooting this year.

Harden responded last night:

22 points, 14 assists, five rebounds, a steal and a block in the Sixers’ 20-point victory over the Raptors.

He shot 6-of-17 from the floor but knocked in four triples and hit 6-of-7 from the line.

Harden did his thing in this one, accounting for another high-scoring, high-assist double-double while filling up the stat sheet.

His efficiency has been an area of concern over the past month, but he’ll look to improve on that in Game 2 on Monday.
