PHILS ZACK WHEELER — 7-3, 2.23 ERA — PITCHING LIKE CY YOUNG!

By Peter Marks

Zack Wheeler gave up one run over seven innings in the Phils win over the Brewers.

Wheeler carried a shutout into the seventh inning before former teammate Rhys Hoskins homered.

He tossed a season-high 114 pitches (67 strikes) and finished with six strikeouts and two walks.

The 34-year-old right-hander has been one of the most consistent upper-echelon fantasy starters in the game for the last few years and hasn’t skipped a beat this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 11 of his 13 outings.

He’ll carry a sparkling 2.23 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 91/26 K/BB ratio across 80 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a road tilt next Tuesday against the Red Sox at historic Fenway Park.
