PHILS SHOULD PLAY TURNER IN OF, BENCH CASTY, KEEP SOSA AT SHORT!

By Art Beitchman

Phils shortstop Trea Turner has been out since May 3 with a pulled hamstring.

He’s healing, taking grounders and hitting in BP.

And there’s been talk about where to play him when he returns with his .343 batting average.

Edmundo Sosa has been doing a fine job at shortstop, playing good defense, hitting .312 in Turner’s absence.

Right fielder Nick Castellanos has been hovering at under .200, currently .199.

How much longer can the Phillies go on with this after 56 games played?

Turner could be moved to the outfield if that light hitting continues,

Turner could play left, move Brandon Marsh to right field if this trend with Castellanos doesn’t improve.

We’ll see when Turner gets activated sometime in June.
