PHILS SEASON MAY ALREADY BE OVER BECAUSE OF COVID-19!

The Major League Baseball season is already way in trouble.

And nowhere worse than in Philly.

The Phils have already canceled seven games because of COVID-19, and there is now no way they will play 60 games this season.

They would have to play 57 games in 56 days beginning Monday.

The Athletic is reporting that multiple Phillies would not have felt comfortable playing this weekend if it could not stage workouts Thursday and today at Citizens Bank Park.

The team’s pitchers have not thrown enough during this week’s pause.

The team split into three staggered groups for Wednesday’s workouts, which included hitting and throwing. The players did not run the bases or do any large group drills. Sources told The Athletic that multiple players were around the coach who tested positive yesterday.
