PHILS SCHWARBS AIN’T STUCK ON 34 HOMERS ANYMORE!

By Sally Fahey

Kyle Schwarber blasted his 35th home run of the season on last night, powering the Phillies to a 4-0 victory over the Reds.

Schwarber got the scoring started with a mammoth 451-foot blast off of Justin Dunn in the third inning, all the run support that Aaron Nola would require.

It was also his lone hit in four at-bats on the night, which also included a pair of strikeouts. He’s now hitting .213/.314/.493 with 35 homers and 73 RBI on the year. He’s now just three long balls shy of his career high.
