PHILS SANCHEZ — 2 WINS IN 15 STARTS, BUT HE’S A SOLID NO. 5!

By Pete Paul

Cristopher Sánchez threw five scoreless innings before being lifted against the Marlins.

The Phillies are trying to ease up on Sánchez a bit, which is why he was on eight days’ rest.

They also had a full bullpen after the off day, so they lifted him after 82 pitches.

Unfortunately, the pen gave up three runs in the sixth and seventh innings in what ended up being a 3-2 loss.

Sánchez still has just two wins after 15 starts, though with a 3.26 ERA, he deserves quite a bit better.
