PHILS RIDING SCHWARBS JUNE EXPLOSION INTO PLAYOFF CONTENTION!

By Art Beitchman

The Phillies’ winning ways rolled on with a 10-1 beatdown of the Washington Nationals.

Left fielder Kyle Schwarber remains red hot in June belting a pair of home runs — his 18 dingers tie him with the Braves Austin Riley for the NL lead.

Ace Zack Wheeler gave up 4 hits in 7 innings taming the Nats weak lineup.

Right Fielder Nick Castellanos chipped in with 2 RBI’s showing signs of coming out of a funk he’s been in since the start of the season.

Interim manager Rob Thomson continues to push all the right buttons as the Phils have won 12 out of their last 14 games. They are currently at 33-31 with four more games with the Nationals starting with a day-night doubleheader today at 1 pm.
