Phils starter Ranger Suárez scattered three hits, walked one, and struck out eight over six scoreless innings in last night’s no-decision against the Pirates.
Suárez had his best performance of the season with a season-high eight strikeouts.
His fastballs, changeup, and curveball all induced multiple whiffs — resulting in a well above-average 38 percent whiff rate.
The 26-year-old southpaw hasn’t given up a run in three straight starts (16 innings).
He’ll attempt to make it four in Friday’s home start against the Nationals.
