PHILS NOLA SOLID AGAIN, BUT WHAT’S UP WITH THE HOME RUNS!?

By Sally Fahey

Aaron Nola pitched seven innings of three-run ball and struck out seven against the Guardians on Sunday.

Nola gave up solo homers in the first and second innings and another run in the third before shutting the Guardians down the rest of the way.

Nola has completed seven innings in three of his four starts and amassed a 31/1 K/BB ratio in July, yet because he’s allowed six homers, his ERA for the month is 3.25.
