Former Phillies outfielder Matt Stairs will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3 of the National League Championship Series tonight at Citizens Bank Park.
Stairs hit one of the most important postseason home runs in Phillies history.
As a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning of Game 4 of the 2008 NLCS in Dodger Stadium, he crushed a Jonathan Broxton fastball to break a 5-5 tie and sent to the Phils to the World Series.
