Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports that the Phillies have had trade talks with the Rays about Kevin Kiermaier.
The Phillies are looking at center field upgrades, and Kiermaier is a realistic possibility, though he’s owed $12 million in the final year of his contract in 2022.
He’s an elite fielder and respectable enough offensively.
