For the first time in years the Phillies organization has made a huge commitment to the fans to improve the team and make the playoffs after an 11 year drought.
With the free agent signings of Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos (left with Bryce Harper), the 1-through-9 lineup is formidable as most NL foes, and it makes the Phils a contender in 2022.
The extra runs generated this year should carry them to a playoff spot.
Starting pitching needs to step too, the bullpen needs to be better, but the boost by the new Phillies appears to be the trick to finally get that elusive postseason appearance.
