Tomorrow is the first day of May, and you’ll finally be able to play at city-owned golf courses.
Mayor Jim Kenney announced yesterday that the five city-owned golf courses and two driving ranges will open, after Gov. Tom Wolf said that golf courses throughout the state can reopen, lifting the pandemic ban.
“Golfers will be required to register in advance, arrive at tee time, and not engage in any socializing,” Kenney said.
The city-run golf sites set to reopen are:
Cobbs Creek Golf Course and Karakung Golf Course; Walnut Lane Golf Course; John F. Byrne Golf Course; Juniata Golf Course; Burholme Golf Driving Range; and Strawberry Green Driving Range, which is also known as 33rd and Oxford Driving Range. The miniature golf at Burholme Golf Driving Range will remain closed.
