The Phillies have made their first set of options and reassignments from major league camp:

Infielder Arquimedes Gamboa and starting pitcher Adonis Medina were optioned to Reading. Catcher Deivy Grullon, infielder Malquin Canelo, outfielder/first baseman Austin Listi and left-handed starter JoJo Romero, along with former first-overall-pick outfielder Mickey Moniak, were reassigned to minor league camp.

Medina (No. 2), Romero (No. 7), Moniak (No. 9), and Gamboa (No. 13) all rank in the top half of MLB Pipeline’s top 30 Phillies prospects, even though none of them were expected to make the team on Opening Day. Fifty-five players remain in Major League camp with less than three weeks to go before Opening Day.
