What looked like a Big 10 biggie when the schedules were released has turned into just another conference game tomorrow for Penn State and Wisconsin in Happy Valley.
The Nits are coming off a 42-7 pounding by Michigan and the Badgers beat Rutgers to bring their record to 6-3, same as Penn State.
Tune into ABC at noon Saturday to catch the opening kickoff. Mark Jones will handle play-by-play, with Dusty Dvoracek on analysis and Molly McGrath providing sideline updates.
Weather: Sunny with some clouds, flurries possible in the morning. High near 37. Winds up to 18 mph with gusts up to 36.
Series: Tied 9-9, with Penn State posting a 38-31 Big Ten Championship victory in the most recent matchup on Dec. 3, 2016, at Lucas Oil Stadium. Nittany Lions have won last three meetings, with Badgers’ last victory coming in 2011.
Betting line: Penn State opened up as a somewhat surprising 8-point favorite.
Rankings: Penn State has dropped to a season-worst No. 21 in the Associated Press poll and No. 20 in the Amway Coaches poll. Wisconsin has received votes in both polls but not enough to get into the Top 25 this week.
Up next for both: Penn State will play at Rutgers next weekend in New Jersey, while Wisconsin remains on the road with a visit to Purdue.
