PENN STATE QB SEAN CLIFFORD KNOCKED OUT OF IOWA GAME IN Q2!

By Jenny Masters

Penn State’s starting quarterback Sean Clifford was injured midway through the second quarter of the Nits game at Iowa.

Clifford was seen walking to the locker room with a trainer just before the Nittany Lions took over after an Iowa touchdown.

He appeared to be hurt at the end of the previous possession when he was hit while throwing incomplete on third down.

That left the offense to backup QB TaQuan Roberson, important game minutes for the first time in his college career.

Penn State led 17-10 at the half.
