Ben Simmons played 13 minutes in the Nets 124-106 loss to the Knicks, finishing with two points (1-of-2 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot.
With the Nets moving Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant before the trade deadline, it appeared that Simmons would have more opportunities to play with the ball in his hands.
But that hasn’t been the case, as he’s played 20 minutes or less in each of Brooklyn’s last three games.
Monday’s was his least impactful of the bunch, and it’s clear that Jacque Vaughn is searching for answers based on his postgame comments.
“It’s gonna be some work that we have to do…You put another big next to Ben, then you got to figure out what the spacing is,” Vaughn said.
“If you put a playmaker next to him, then you got to figure out what Ben looks like w/out the ball.”
