Parx Casino continues to give back to its community by awarding $1,500 each in scholarship grants to college-bound high school students.

Two high school students from four Bucks County high schools ~ Bensalem High, Bucks County Technical High, Conwell-Egan Catholic High and Archbishop Wood High ~ received scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each towards their college tuition.

Parx has awarded $92,000 in scholarships to local high school students in the past 10 years.

In addition to the local high school recipients, Parx Casino awarded two scholarships exclusively for children applicants of Parx team members. The application process and judging criteria follow the same rules as the Bucks County school program.

Over 50 students participated in the scholarship contest by submitting their GPA, school recommendations, and an essay defining their education and future career objectives. Winners were selected by a panel of Parx Casino executives and included:

Archbishop Wood Catholic High — Michaella Becker will attend Emery Riddle University. Taylor Sloan will attend West Chester University

Bensalem High— Amelia Ali – will attend University of Pittsburgh Mathew Gladu will attend Bloomsburg University

Bucks County Technical High — Kyra Mullins will attend Drexel University Kaitlyn Seamans will attend Rochester Institute of Technology

Conwell Egan Catholic High — Shelby Samuels will attend Kutztown University.
