Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur turned down a chance to make the Super Bowl.
Which reminded us of how dimwitted Doug Pederson benched Jalen Hurts in the Eagles last game of the season and blew whatever chance they had of beating the WFT.
Trailing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by eight with just two minutes remaining, LaFleur sent out the field goal team, cutting the Packers deficit to 31-26.
The Packers never got the ball back and lost the game.
Congratulations, LaFleur.
You had a chance to go to the Super Bowl and politely declined.
Aaron Rodgers is your quarterback. You’re playing at home. You’ve come back from 18 points down to make it an 8-point game. How do you justify kicking a field goal on fourth and goal at the 8-yard line and giving the ball back to Tom Brady with two minutes left in the game?
