ODUBEL DOGGED IT ON BASES, AND ROB THOMSON CALLED HIM ON IT!

By Harvey Hoffman

Phils manager Rob Thomson said he’s not sure Odubel Herrera would have scored if he was running at full speed, but he did take issue with Herrera not giving himself the chance to score by not hustling in the 7th inning.

“He kind of slowed up between second and third before Dusty [Wathan] held him,” Thomson told reporters.

“I just asked him why. Why he stopped running. And he knows better. He knows he has to run until he’s stopped, so I’m not sure if he can score, but I know he can’t if he’s not running hard.”
