CBS Sports is reporting that Villanova is exercising maximum scheduling flexibility.
Approximately two hours after the third-ranked Wildcats beat No. 18 Arizona State 83-74 last night to win the 2K Empire Classic tournament, Jay Wright and his team made the decision to extend their stay in “Bubbleville” at Mohegan Sun and added a game vs. Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Anybody still up? The decision is in at 1:45 a.m.—Villanova is staying for another game in Bubbleville and will play Virginia Tech at 8 p.m. on Saturday night, source tells CBS Sports. Game is currently scheduled to be broadcast on ESPNews.
