NINERS’ COLIN KAEPERNICK THE NEW FLAVOR OF THE NFL WEEK!

By Annie Ross

The second day of NFL free agency has produced a new Flavor of the Week.

The Denver Broncos, New York Jets and Cleveland Browns each have expressed interest to the San Francisco 49ers about a trade for Colin Kaepernick, sources have told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The defending Super Bowl champion Broncos have a void at the quarterback position after the free-agent defection of Brock Osweiler to the Houston Texans and the retirement of Peyton Manning.

The Jets are in a stalemate with free agent Ryan Fitzpatrick and are nowhere close to an agreement.

The Browns are expected to part ways with Johnny Manziel this offseason and, with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, are reportedly thinking about selecting a quarterback at that spot.

Kaepernick’s agents requested permission from the 49ers on Feb. 26 to seek a trade for their client.
