NELSON AGHOLOR’S CAREER AS AN EAGLES WIDE RECEIVER IS OVER!

By Ben Sullivan

Nelson Agholor is officially listed as questionable for tomorrow’s Linc showdown with the Cowboys because of a balky knee.

Which is appropriate because “questionable” perfectly describes his five-year career in Philly.

With any luck, her has played his last down for the Birds.

The soon-to-be free agent wide receiver is under Doug Pederson’s consideration to be shut down for the rest of the season.

The former first-round pick out of USC (2015), has dealt with a nagging knee injury for much of the season and has missed the last three games.

Agholor has 39 receptions for 363 yards and three touchdowns on the season. He has a lower 56.5% catch rate while also dropping four balls, per Pro Football Reference.

Agholor did not live up to expectations in his first two seasons.

Twenty seventeen was different, however. While winning the Super Bowl as a starter, he hauled in 62 receptions for 768 yards and eight touchdowns. Then, his numbers dropped to four touchdowns in 16 games. The 2019 seasons caps off his regression within the Eagles’ offense.
