MLB, UNION MEETING MONDAY WITH COUNTERPROPOSAL ON TABLE

By Sam Bush

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association are scheduled to meet on Monday in Manhattan.

Passan also notes that the MLBPA is expected to offer a counterproposal to MLB’s latest offer.

Multiple outlets reported that the association had a negative reaction to that first proposal, so it’ll be interesting to see if the sides are able to make any sort of progress with this meeting.

It will be just the second time the two sides have met since December 2 when owners instituted a lockout between the two sides.
