Sixer superstar Joel Embiid was expected to play against the Kings on the second night of back-to-back games last night, but Sixers coach Brett Brown said the team’s medical staff advised him to keep the 7-foot center on the sideline.
The Sixers fell 101-95 to the Kings and have dropped seven of their past eight.
Embiid’s back injury has kep him out for four of the past six contests. Brown said Embiid’s back “is still a little bit sore.”
Embiid is averaging 24.1 points and 11 rebounds this season.
