MICK AND THE LATE, GREAT TINA TURNER ROCKED PHILLY’S JFK IN 1985!

Live Aid was a charity concert, organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for relief of the ongoing Ethiopian famine.

The event was held simultaneously at the Wembley Stadium in London and the John F. Kennedy Stadium in South Philly on July 13, 1985 and was broadcasted internationally via satellite television.

Tina Turner, who died yesterday ay 83, was just on the road with her Private Dancer Tour and didn’t appeared with an own set, but accompanied Mick Jagger on two songs.

During their duet on “It’s Only Rock’n Roll,“ Mick ripped away Tina’s skirt, leaving her to finish the song in a leotard.
