What in the world is a lower body injury, and why won’t the lame Philly media hold the Flyers’ feet to the fire when they describe an injury that way instead of what it really is:
A foot injury
The Flyers just announced that Michael Raffl would miss the next six weeks with a lower-body injury.
Raffl, who was enjoying a tremendous start to the campaign with six goals through 12 games, was hurt blocking a shot in Tuesday’s 4-1 win over Edmonton — a game in which he finished plus-2 and third on the team in hits, with three.
The Flyers lost Kimmo Timonen prior to the start of the regular season with blood clots, then saw Braydon Coburn go down to a foot injury the first game of the season. Vincent Lecavalier missed seven games with a foot injury, and Andrew MacDonald is out four weeks with a lower-body ailment.
