The Eagles 5-game winning streak came crashing down to the New Jets Sunday 20-14 in a sloppy turnover-riddled game the Birds have been able to avoid until yesterday.

QB Jalen Hurts had a terrible day, throwing 3 interceptions.

They didn’t do much better on the ground, running for a season low 80 yards.

When you lose the turnover battle in the NFL you lose 70% of the time.

Yesterday was no different.

Another key injury hurt the Birds big time when All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson went down with a high ankle sprain,

Johnson anchors the offensive line, his loss was a killer for both the pass and run game.

Amazingly when Lane Johnson is out over the last 10 years the Eagles record is 13-26! When he plays they are 84-47-1 in that same span.

Derek Gunn agrees:

The Birds hope the injury won’t keep him down long.

The schedule gets tougher next week as the Miami Dolphins come to the Linc next Sunday night, 8:20/NBC-10.
