Kyle Lowry would “like to be in Philly,” says the Inky’s Sixers beat man Keith Pompey.

“A source said Kyle Lowry would like to be in Philly,” Pompey wrote via NBA Central on Twitter.

“The source believes the Sixers and Raptors might be able to get something done. But if it comes to that, Toronto would most likely want some picks, young players, and veterans with expiring contracts.”

Okay, for now let’s look past the fact that Pompey’s source is not named, which is okay if it’s ESPN’s Adam Schefter or the Woj, who have the best sources there are and are never wrong.

Pompey is a Sixers house man, and his source may just be Daryl Morey, the Sixers big boss.

And that would be all right with me, because that means Morey really wants Lowry for the next three months playoffs push. The Cardinal Dougherty and Nova alum would fit the bill.

And just last week, The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor linked Lowry to the Sixers, pointing to Lowry.

Pompey added that Toronto is looking to reward the longtime Raptor, six-time all-star, and NBA champion—who is on the final year of his contract—for his service.

“A league source says the Raptors want to reward Lowry for his years of service by helping him secure an opportunity to win another NBA title,” Pompey wrote. “That would help his legacy.

“That’s where the Sixers, Heat, and Clippers come in, sources say. Though things are far from definite at this point.”

Lowry has a $30.5 million cap hit for 2020-21 and is set to become an unrestricted free-agent after the season.
