JORDAN IN THE SLOT GIVES EAGLES A CHANCE SUNDAY AGAINST FALCONS

By Peter Fleming

So, how can the Eagles run up some points on the Falcons this Sunday at the Linc?

Though Atlanta cornerback Desmond Trufant has shown a tendency to shadow his opponent’s top receiver this season, he hasn’t been aligned with his opponent’s slot receiver all that often, with that being Matthews’ traditional role for the Eagles.

In addition, Trufant has missed practice time with a shoulder injury, so Matthews should find his opportunities on Sunday, even on a handful of routes.

Non-No. 1 receivers against the Falcons have totaled 136 fantasy points, third most in the league, and only the New Orleans Saints have afforded more fantasy points to opposing slot receivers than the Falcons have (120).
