Sixers Nation got a pleasant surprise yesterday when it was announced that 2017 No. 36 overall draft pick out of UCLA Jonah Bolden would join the Summer Sixers tonight in Vegas.
The 6-10 Bolden, 22, has played for the Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel since being drafted by the Sixers, averaging 6.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
Bolden has the offensive and defensive length that can fit tremendously into the team’s system.
He has the ability to rebound and defend, playing either small or power forward. He led his Israeli team in steals and finished with the third-most blocks. His long range shooting being one of his many hidden weapons. He shot 48 percent from the field in Israel.
