JON GRUDEN: EAGLE SECONDARY IS OF PRIMARY IMPORTANCE!

As a head coach, you’re looking for your team owner to provide the resources needed to fix these types of problems. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has done that for coach Chip Kelly by opening his wallet for Byron Maxwell (above), a very good all-around corner who went to two Super Bowls with Seattle. The Eagles also drafted Eric Rowe, whom I really liked as a safety coming out of Utah, but who struggled in preseason. Philly even signed Walter Thurmond, Maxwell’s old teammate from the Legion of Boom in Seattle.
