Joel Embiid dominated the Magic with 28 points (9-for-17 FGs, 10-for-10 FTs), 11 rebounds, three assists and one block in a 105-94 win on Wednesday.
And the Magic couldn’t do much to stop him.
He posted excellent numbers in their loss to Orlando on Monday, but he missed four free throws after missing three the game before. He’s a much better shooter from the line than that, as he proved in this game.
That allowed them to avoid back-to-back losses against a lottery team, which is crucial as they battle for playoff positioning in the tight Eastern Conference.
They kick off a three game road trip on Friday that features matchups in New York and Boston, before they have a home game against the Knicks that is followed by a game in Brooklyn. The next week and a half will be huge for their spot in the standings.
