Following Seth Curry’s rpositive coronavirus test during their game on Thursday, multiple Sixers, including Joel Embiid, are listed as questionable for today’s game against the Denver Nuggets.
Embiid, Tobias Harris, Danny Green, Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle, Vincent Poirier and Paul Reed are all listed as questionable due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Philadelphia learned of a positive coronavirus test for a player during their 122-109 loss to Brooklyn on Thursday. Following the game, the team had to quarantine in New York and contact trace, sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The Sixers traveling party left New York last night to return to Philly after quarantining, and a member of the Sixers’ staff returned a positive test leading to additional contract tracing within the team. The Sixers and Nuggets are scheduled to play today at the Wells, but the status of the game is uncertain.
Aside from the questionable players, Seth Curry (health and safety protocols), Terrance Ferguson (personal reasons), Furkan Korkmaz (left adductor strain) and Mike Scott (left knee contusion) are out for the Sixers.
The Sixers are coming off playing back-to-back games against the Nets on Thursday and Wednesday against the Washington Wizards. The Wizards’ game against the Celtics started as scheduled on Friday, as did the Nets’ game against the Grizzlies in Memphis.
