Losing in the final minutes of the 2019 NFL season can be a killer when the Eagles’ playoff push seeding comes down the line in December.
Luckily for the snakebitten Eagles, their 27-24 loss to the Detroit Lions on the last-second dropped pass by JJ Arcega-Whiteside was the latest galling gaffe by this so called Super Bowl contender!
It’s easy to point to Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson injuries, but their replacements are wearing NFL uniforms and are expected to perform, which they did not.
The whole receiving group dropped an unconscionable 7 passes from Carson Wentz.
As Vince Lombardi famously once yelled on the sidelines,” What the hell is going on out here”! Most Eagles fans want to know that too.
The bad news is they have a short week going to Green Bay to play the surging Packers tomorrow night. The good news is they may get Alshon Jeffery back for the game which they desperately need to win.
The Birds risk a 1-3 start to the season.
It’s still too early to blow taps on the season, but as they say, it’s getting late early.
Eagles travel to Green Bay today to take on the Pack, September 26, 8:20pm/Fox/NFLN.
