The Flyers missed the playoffs last year by 14 points and they’d be out again this season if the season ended today.
So … with all that in mind, is Hextall thinking about making a blockbuster trade to change the chemistry on his 5-7-3 club?
“I’m not going to tell you all that goes through my head,” Hextall said Thursday before the Flyers-Washington Capitals’ game at Wells Fargo Center.
“There are nights where it’s hard to go out there and play,” Hextall said. “You don’t feel good, you’re traveling and tired, whatever it is … You know what? Too bad. You gotta go out there and you’ve got to play your ass off.”
