IF PHILS TURNER ISN’T AN ALL-STAR WHO IS? WATCH 3-5, 2 HR’S, 4 RBI!

By Sam Bush

Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in the Phils win over the Cubs.

Turner hit a solo homer in the top of the third inning to give the Phillies a 3-0 lead and later hit a two-run shot in the fifth inning to push the lead to 5-1.

The Phillies shortstop now has five homers on the season and has hit safely in five of his last six games.

Turner is slashing a solid .338/.386/.487 on the season but hasn’t offered much as far as steals are concerned, which could be chalked up to the hamstring injury he returned from a few weeks ago.

Turner lined the first pitch of the third to about the 10th row of the bleachers in left-center.

He made it 5-1 with a towering two-run drive in the fifth against Hayden Wesneski (2-5), giving him 15 multihomer games.

The two-time All-Star added an RBI single in the seventh.
