Eagles fans were thrilled to see QB Jalen Hurts at practice Thursday afternoon, throwing the football in light drills, as he nurses his sore shoulder looking ready to take on the New Orleans Saints at the Linc this Sunday.
With a victory over the 6-9 Saints, the Birds can wrap up the No. 1 seed throughout the NFC playoffs, having all games coming through the Linc where they hold a huge home field advantage.
Unfortunately, RT Lane Johnson will be sidelined with a torn tendon in his abdomen.
Johnson vows he will play when the postseason starts, but how effective he will be is another question about the untimely injury for Johnson and the Eagles going for their 14th win this Sunday.
Still long way to playing Sunday. Jalen Hurts participated in light individual drills before media was kicked out of practice. Will have practice designation later.
He was a non-participant for Wed's walkthrough, which is an important day as the offense first installs game plan. https://t.co/EimYexfaZQ

3rd year OT Jack Driscoll will take Johnson’s place along the line versus the Saints, how well he does protecting Hurts will go a long way when the playoffs start in a few weeks.
