Eagles GM Howie Roseman talked to the media in Arizona and addressed the decision to ditch Carson Wentz:
“You need depth in this league. Why wouldn’t you consider building depth at the most important position of all sports?” Roseman said.
“The league is a competitive league. If you’re worried that we’re bringing in depth and talent, you’re probably not the right guy at that position.”
Wentz was traded to the Colts and, after one year, was dealt to Washington, which has anointed young Sam Howell and Taylor Heinicke under center.
Looks like Wentz will be a quarterback without a team in 2023!
