Eagles big boss Howie Boy Roseman has doubled down!
Carson Wentz is officially a member of the Eagles and Roseman says that Sam Bradford’s going to remain one as well.
Bradford would like to be traded as a result of the team’s decision move up to the No. 2 pick and select Wentz, but Roseman said in a press conference after the pick that Bradford is “our quarterback.” That has been the team’s position since making the trade with the Browns and Roseman wouldn’t say whether the team has had any talks about trading Bradford.
Bradford hasn’t been taking part in offseason work with the team since the deal. Coach Doug Pederson said that they’ll welcome him back with “open arms,” although it remains to be seen when that return might come.
Until he does, it’s probably safe to assume that we’ll hear more about a potential change of address and more of the Eagles saying that Bradford will be staying in Philadelphia while Wentz gets his feet wet as a backup.
