How long do you think it will take Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and his numb-nuts sidekick Howie Boy Roseman to call newly available Lovie Smith for the vacant head coaching job?
After all, he has taken one team, the Chicago Bears, to the Super Bowl, and he has some of those Match.com-like qualities Lurie is requiring after he fired that sociopath Chip Kelly!
The dismissal of Smith on Wednesday night stunned just about everyone, including Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaches and staff members.
Smith, 57, had just completed his second season in Tampa — one in which the Bucs improved from 2-14 to 6-10 while starting a rookie quarterback, No. 1 overall draft pick Jameis Winston.
Many Bucs employees found out the news the same time the public did, via a media release posted to the team’s website after 10 p.m. ET.
“After careful consideration, we informed Lovie that we have decided to make a change,” Bucs co-chairman Joel Glazer said in a statement issued by the team.
