The 76ers have been quite busy this offseason.

Boss man Daryl Morey has been wheeling and dealing, first acquiring De’Anthony Melton in a draft day trade with the Grizzlies.

Melton is an athletic two-way player who can score and defend, and the bench got stronger with this move.

The free agent signing of 6-5 PJ Tucker might be the best pickup, giving the Sixers toughness, 3-point shooting, and more importantly a player star Joel Embiid requested to be a member of the 2022-23 squad — now he is.

Another nice addition is Danuel House, a 6-6 small forward who shot 41.5% from 3-point land for the Jazz last season — another good piece off the bench who can pop the 3.

Star guard James Harden gave the team flexibility, opting out of his huge $47M contract allowing the team to bring in these valuable pieces for next season.

Harden will still sign a lucrative deal soon, in the neighborhood of 3 years for $100M plus, just regular business in today’s NBA. And because of that the Sixers will be a better team when the season starts in the fall.
